1. What is Secret Tunnel Group?

STG is an artist collective started by Jonathan Visger of Mason Proper, as a way to release the music of our artists quickly and easily, directly to listeners, outside the confines of the greater music industry.

3. Why are there only digital releases? Can I get a physical copy of a Secret Tunnel Group release?

We only currently offer downloadable digital releases, for a few reasons:
-Manufacturing costs = zero. This lets us not worry about getting stuck with tons of unsold copies of releases, and frees us up to make exactly the music we want.
-No shipping expense or time wasted. STG has no "staff," only the artists making the music, so the only way we can ensure that you get the music you want quickly is to make the delivery automatic (and instantaneous!).
-Speed of release. The moment a release is mixed and mastered, it can be released to you, rather than waiting months for manufacturing/distribution/whatever.

4. Why can't I get Mason Proper's music from STG?

Because Mason Proper is happily signed to a fantastic label (Dovecote Records), we can't offer their music for digital download through this site. However, there are a multitude of ways to get their music in physical or digital form if that's what you want!

5. What kind of digital music files do you offer?

All our songs are presented in high-quality LAME-encoded VBR mp3 format. They are around twice the quality of iTunes, and can be played on any music player.

6. Do your files have Digital Rights Management?

All STG songs are presented without any DRM whatsoever. You are free to enjoy them in any way you like.

We do ask that if you enjoy them, please encourage others to buy them legitimately as well. All proceeds from the sale of music on this site go directly to the artists, and even the purchase of a single song can help them scrape by and continue releasing more music.
